Finding his way through restaurants across Perth, Sydney, Bahrain and Brisbane, Ben’s food at Gerard’s Bistro is an homage to his travels, love of the regions he explored and their ancient cuisines. His menu is a masterfully inspired yet natural hybrid of fresh seasonal produce and Middle Eastern cuisines, delivered with his signature twist. Since gaining industry recognition through Gerard’s Bistro, Ben has been nominated on several occasions through different industry awards for Chef of the Year and appeared as the guest chef challenger on Master Chef Australia. Recently Ben was awarded Chef of the Year in the 2017 Queensland Good Food Guide and Gerard’s Bistro picked up it’s second chef’s hat. When possible Ben also donates his time to a number of charities, most notably as an ambassador for OzHarvest.
